Rawlinson Road Middle School is truly becoming a learning organization as we continue to increase not only our students' knowledge, but our educators' professional knowledge as well. Last year, our faculty worked to develop a curriculum map for each content and elective area to guide our instruction throughout the year. This year, we are focusing our instructional planning on student learning and engagement. We are currently planning units using the Understanding by Design framework in order to make learning enduring for our students. Our school received a grant from the Education Testing Service to train our teachers on using formative assessments in their classrooms to check for student understanding with the Keeping Learning on Track framework. Our teachers are working tirelessly, collaborating to create engaging lessons for our students to ensure they are truly learning our curriculum.
